Why does metabolic health matter so much?
It’s so important to not just focus on the scale, in fact many of my clients do not weigh themselves at all. Metabolic health is about how your body is using energy, how your cells are functioning, and more! When looking at your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, kidneys, liver, etc. we can find clues as to your overall health that help us to listen to your body more fully as it tells us what you need to thrive. Working with a nutritionist, especially one focused on a mindful and intuitive eating approach, can help empower you to make shifts that’ll move you towards greater overall health.
How much protein should you eat?
A lot of people are really focused on getting “enough” protein right now. Working towards overall health with a mindful and intuitive eating perspective can help you learn to listen to your body and to make decisions in your relationship with food that are evidence-based and will help you thrive for the longterm! Protein is certainly important, but it’s not the only important thing to consider. We can work together on finding a path for your greatest flourishing!
What do you need to know about peptides?
Like many trends that come and go, there is some science behind why people are getting into peptides. Peptides occur naturally in your body and are used to help with inflammation, tissue repair, and more! One of the best ways to know what you body needs, is to work with a nutritionist who can help you evaluate your body, your season of life, and your goals for overall health. Be careful of just jumping on trends, things that aren’t evidence-based, or things that don’t promote overall health for the longterm.
What is gut health and why does it matter?
It’s been said that 70-80% of the health of your immune system is based in your gut. So it follows that a healthy gut can mean a healthier you! Rather than getting into fads and harsh cleanses, we can work together to help bring your gut and overall health into greater alignment. We’ll use mindful and intuitive eating practices that are evidence-based and sustainable for the longterm as a part of your lifestyle.
